Worry

"Worry a little bit every day and in a lifetime you will lose a couple of years. If something is wrong, fix it if you can. But train yourself not to worry. Worry never fixes anything."
- Mary Hemingway

Why do us humans worry so much? If I didn't know any better I'd think we derived some form of pleasure out of it, and when asked most people say, 'I can't help it!'. Why not? Have you lost control of your own mind?

Think about it carefully, how many of the things you worry about actually happen? So was all the stress really necessary? If there is something you can do about it then do it, and do it well, if not, stop worrying. Have faith, faith that life will deliver exactly what is needed in your life.

"Therefore, do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own."
- Matthew 6:34

The really scary thing is that the universe responds to your thoughts with amazing accuracy, good and bad. So the more you worry about something, the more chance you have of attracting that experience into your life. As mentioned in an earlier blog, when you first start worrying about something it is a conscious thought, but if you worry about it for long enough it becomes an unconscious thought, you don't even realize you are worrying about it.

So, become pro-active in your life, stop worrying and start living!

"If you can't sleep, then get up and do something instead of lying there and worrying. It's the worry that gets you, not the loss of sleep."
- Dale Carnegie

"Ninety percent of the things we tend to worry about we have no control over, so why worry about them?"

- Unknown
